Price
includes
Hotel accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. (The hotel
has leisure facilities and all rooms will be twins, ensuite.) Transfers
to / from your point of arival and tournament transportation from
your hotel.
Participation in the 12th Jersey International Veterans Football
Festival Services of an ISL and States of Jersey representative
during your stay.
Travel
There are now many low cost airlines flying from local airports
into Jersey and you
can book these direct or contact the ISL office for assistance.
Various airline companies are flying direct from Gatwick, Luton,
Stansted, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, East Midlands, Southampton,
Bristol, Exeter, Leeds plus many others.
You may wish to travel via Catamaran from Poole or Weymouth
Accommodation
Hotel accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. (The hotel
has leisure facilities and all rooms will be twins, ensuite.) Transfers
are provided to and from your point of arival to the hotel. Tournament
transportation also provided from your hotel.
Football
International Sport and Leisure, together
with the Sport, Leisure and Recreational
Department of the States of Jersey and the Jersey Tourist Office,
are pleased to
confirm that the 12th Jersey International Veterans Football Festival
will take place
on Saturday 19th April 2008
The tournament is open to men's teams of
age 35 and above (there will be two
dispensations for players under 35 but over 32). The 2007 event
attracted 16 teams and a similar number is expected in 2008.
All matches will be played at Le Quennavais Sport Centre, Jersey.
There are four
beautifully manicured full size pitches on this modern, attractive
complex, which
also boasts swimming pool, bar, cafe and other recreational facilities.
Le Quennavais
is situated just over 4 miles from the capital of St. Helier. All
sections of the Jersey
media will again be covering the event, including the newspapers,
radio and television.
Social Programme
Welcome meeting on day of arrival, opportunities throughout the
weekend to
mix with other teams and players from the UK and locally.
