Welcome to the West Country Cup. This outstanding event is one of Britain's foremost Easter competitions, emphasising international football and family fun. Based in Newquay, Cornwall, one of Europe's leading holiday resorts, the tournament attracts teams from all over the UK. Teams from Europe and the USA have also particapated in the tournament. The 2009 West Country Cup event brought together over 60 teams from 30 different clubs! The competition provides an unforgettable and unique international family atmosphere for young players, parents and friends with a passion for the world's most popular game.

This one time fishing village is one of the top five most popular holiday destinations in the UK. Newquay is also known as "Surf City" and has become the centre for surfing activity in the UK having also hosted the World Surfing Championships. Tournament accommodation in luxurious holiday homes is at the outstanding Trevelgue Holiday Park situated in a beautiful area close to Newquay town and it's picturesque harbour. The spectacular Cornish north coast is only 5 minutes drive away. Trevelgue Park specialises in catering for families and it's excellent facilities and activities provide the ideal venue for our tournament participants and all the family. |
These include indoor swimming pool, an adventure play park, pitch and putt, amusement centre, pool tables, a supermarket, restaurants, a launderette, evening entertainment and much more.
Alternative accommodation packages are available in selected holiday homes, guest houses and hotels in Newquay, offering a choice of facilities. Contact the ISL office for details.
All accommodation must be booked through the West Country Cup as part of the tournament package.

Tuesday 6th April 2010 to Saturday 10th April. Teams arrive on Tuesday 6th April from 3pm and depart on Saturday 10th April. Matches are played on the 7th / 8th / 9th April.
The competition is open to club teams who, through their national associations, are members of FIFA. Teams are divided into groups of 3 to 5 teams with each playing the other in the qualifying rounds. Qualifying teams progress to play offs which lead to the finals. All teams are required to provide, in advance, a list of players together with a letter of authority from their national association. The competition is approved by the English FA and the English Women's FA.

The registration fees are £75 per team. Teams will be registered only on receipt of this fee. All bookings must be made by 28th February 2010.
The West Country Cup is played in accordance with the relevant FIFA and FA rules. Qualified referees and referee assistants are used in all matches.
The West Country Cup is played on grass fields at the excellent Newquay Sports Centre and surrounding facilities.
